At The Moving Meditation in Dennis, we believe yoga is for everyone, whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to deepen your practice. Our studio offers a calm, supportive space where beginners can learn the basics without judgment and experienced yogis can find fresh challenges to expand their skills.
Our certified instructors, including founder Maureen Hammett, bring decades of practice and teaching experience. They combine timeless yoga traditions with the latest insights in health and wellness, guiding you through postures, breathwork, and meditation at your own pace.

Maureen Hammett
Founder & Lead Instructor
Maureen is a certified yoga instructor and has been teaching/instructing classes for 24 years. Injury and the need to move mindfully initially brought her to the mat. Maureen's nurturing approach draws on her holistic wellness, lifestyle, and therapeutic movement. Her classes support all levels and abilities and reflect a commitment to physical balance and emotional well-being. Maureen's mindful approach will both energize and calm, as well as reset the mind/body connection.
Maureen has been a business owner for more than 20 years (The Moving Meditation). She is certified in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching through Harvard Medical and is a certified Spinning Instructor too.
Maureen balances her time as a certified Medical Assistant with Cape Cod Healthcare and catering/cooking when she is not at her studio space.

Maureen’s beloved dog, Atomos, is often in the studio and brings a gentle, joyful presence to The Moving Meditation. He’s friendly, calm, and loves greeting students before and after class. His sweet energy is a reminder that our studio is a space for comfort, connection, and community.
